The Aerobie AeroPress coffee filters are thicker and allow less micro-particles of coffee bean into the brew. (Other press coffee makers use wire screens that miss fine grit. Standard coffee machines pulverize the grounds by impacting only the center of the grounds. That releases bitter, microscopic coffee bean grit that passes through even paper coffee filters. They cannot use filters as effective as the AeroPress because they rely on only gravity to draw coffee through the filter.)
