| The Skylighter is by far the easiest to throw, and it coasts farther than the rest at low speed, which makes it easier to catch. Its white lights are BRIGHT, and
the Aerobie video
really doesn't do it justice. Other brands may look cooler in their promotional photos, but the Skylighter blows most of them away in looks and performance once you actually get out there and start throwing them. |

The Frenzy disc is really wild looking, but it has to be pretty dark outside to be fully appreciated because it is not as bright as the rest. This disc would be as much at home at a rave or a science fair as at a park or a beach.

This disc is similar to the flashflight Frenzy, but a little bit brighter and a lot more mellow! It would fit in better in a Cheech & Chong movie than a rave, and would be an attention getter at any park.

This disc is very bright and my dog could see it with no problem at all. The on/off pushbutton is tapered so the dog can't bite it off, and nothing short of a hammer is likely to hurt it. I pulled it out of my 65# dog's mouth many times with no damage, so I give it an A+ for its intended purpose.

The standard flashflight discs don't change color, but they are brighter and easier to see from a distance than the Frenzy and the Disc-O. For actual sporting play value instead of special effects coolness, this would be my choice of the flashflight line of discs.

The original Orby's lights are bright when they are pointed directly at you, but the frisbee is still hard to see from far away. This disc is probably better suited for children 7 - 10 years old due to its small size, light weight, and very limited long distance visibility.

The Orby Mother- ship flies straighter and farther than the other classic, frisbee-shaped discs for me. It is very bright and easy to see from any angle, and the outer mounting of 4 LEDs makes it easier for me to catch than any of the others. I love it!

The most outstanding thing about the Yomega Photon is that it looks totally wicked in the air! I can't describe or photograph it; you just have to see it! On the down side, its small diameter makes it more difficult to catch than the larger discs due to fast flight. I recommend the Photon for teen and adult players.

This disc is similar to the Orby Mothership, but there are differences. The first difference is the auto-on/ auto-off feature on the Astro Disc, which is sort of nifty if you plan to play with the disc so much that batteries will be an issue. The second difference is the price, in which area the Astro Disc is the obvious champion. Third is durability. The Orby Mothership is tougher and less likely to break than the Astro over the long run.
