Light-up basketballs are great when the sun goes down! No lights on your basketball court? No problem! The LED light inside makes the whole basketball glow bright enough to be seen a block away! They look and feel just like a regular basketball, so whether you want to practice, compete, or just have fun shooting hoops, an LED glow in the dark basketball is just what you need at night!
These are regular, Size 7, inflatable basketballs with a very bright LED light inside that lights the whole outside of the basketball. They are very bright and very easy to see from across even a full sized basketball court, and they feel just like a regular basketball. NO, THEY DO NOT BREAK DURING PLAY. THEY ARE TOUGH!
The on/off switch is a button on the side of the basketball that you have to push in pretty far with your pinky finger to operate. That keeps the ball from accidentally getting turned off in the middle of a game.
Our lighted basketballs use three (3) LR44 watch batteries to power a single, ultra-bright LED light. The batteries last a long time due to the low power consumption of the LED light, they are very easy to change without any tools, and batteries are included with each new basketball. We still recommend that you buy extra batteries when you purchase any light-up frisbee or ball so that you don't have to go out and find someplace that sells them when the original batteries finally run out.
These glow in the dark basketballs get a lot of attention! People you don't even know will ask you all the time where you got it, so be sure to tell them TealCo.net!
We use the term glow-in-the-dark so that people unfamiliar with LED will find our products. In reality, glow-in-the-dark and LED are not the same thing. Glow-in-the-dark means the sports ball or disc has to be exposed to light to absorb light before it can emit light, or glow. Even then, the glow is weak and fades quickly. LED lights, on the other hand, are battery-powered and their brightness lasts for hours!
So just to clarify: we sell LED, not glow-in-the-dark!
