BUT DON'T PANIC! Really Orby just changed its name. The BlackJax Odyssey is the new and improved Orby Mothership. It's great. It's big, bright, tough, and even more fun than the Motheship was!
The Orby Mothership truly is one of the, or possibly the #1, brightest light-up frisbee-type flying discs on the market. It has four ultra-bright LEDs mounted on the outer edge of the disc for maximum brightness and easy catches in total darkness. The LEDs are extra tought, and they move backwards easily to prevent damage on impact with things like trees or concrete. The Orby Mothership is also slightly larger (10.5 inches diameter) than most frisbees, so it coasts farther and stays aloft longer at slower speeds than most other frisbee type discs.
The Mothership is wider, brighter, and WAY stronger than the original Orby disc! The Mothership also has all its lights on the outer edge, and none in the center! They look awesome!
The Orby Mothership is 10.5", water-resistant, weighs the standard 185 grams, and is great for playing Ultimste Frisbee or just playing catch!
Each Orby Mothership uses two CR2430 lithium wafer batteries, which are INCLUDED with every new Mothership light-up frisbee. CR2430 batteries are slightly thicker than the batteries for most of our other light-up frisbees due to its use of four LEDs instead of one or two like the others. The batteries last a long time due to the low power consumption of LED lights, but we still recommend that you buy extra batteries along with the disc so that you don't have to shop for them when the original batteries finally give out.
