    Medieval Herber Garden Growing

      Windowsill Miniature Garden

  • Medieval Herber Mini Garden

The Medieval Herber grows plants used in the Middle Ages for food, medicine, paints, and other household purposes. Herb and "pleasure gardens" – herbers – were nearly always rectangular and raised, as your garden is. Plants were not grouped by type (flower, tree, shrub, vine...), but by use: plants for seasoning, plants for food, plants for brewing, plants for medicine, and magical/religious plants. These fast-growing medival herbs sprout in 3 days and are safe for ages 3 and up!

The National Parenting Center's Seal of Approval for the Holiday 2005 Testing Period has been awarded to the Medieval Herber!

"When you create a seed kit for kids one of the most important factors to consider is whether they sprout quickly. Patience grows thin when you are 4 years old. The Medieval Herber delivers the goods by providing seeds that take root very quickly along with a great lesson in herbology. Medieval herbs are probably not listed in the curriculum of many preschools, but they are still great for classes or home schoolers. As a bonus, all the herbs are edible."- The National Parenting Center
